 Voice and Visibility
23 - 25 September 2010An installation based upon memory and experience. The exhibition organised by Alice Lenkiewicz and Richard Ashworth. Artists, members of the community and Sola Arts collaborate on a project for the Toxteth Town Hall in the beautiful newly restored meeting room. Found objects, poems, memorabilia, form a spontaneous artwork that expresses the ideas and heritage of people coming together, living and working in the Toxteth Community.

 'Touched and Untouched' Susan Brown
15 September - 6 October 2010The Sandwich Bureau hosts an exhibiton of startling and unusual paintings by Susan Brown. Using the medium Hammerite as a starting point oil paint is then applied as an over layer to create interesting effects. The lotus is rooted in the mud but floats on the water without becoming wet or muddy. This symbolises how one should live in the world untouched by one’s surroundings.
