The Liverpool Screen School seeks to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Poetry (0.5fte), 3 months fixed term, to contribute to our portfolio of programmes. The appointed person will be a practising poet with a strong profile and established track record of publishing.

The Liverpool Screen School forms part of LJMU’s Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies and offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Creative Writing, Drama, Film Studies, Journalism and Media Production. The School prides itself on developing a warm and friendly environment with a strong commitment to nurturing and supporting creativity, whilst offering excellent learning resources and first-class student support. We are proud of our links with creative and cultural organisations in Liverpool and beyond, including FACT, The Everyman, Royal Court, Bluecoat, Tate and ITV.

Creative Writing at the Liverpool Screen School is offered as a single and joint honours programme at undergraduate level and students are encouraged to develop their own creative skills as well the intellectual and analytical skills to improve their work through the study of poetry, prose and scriptwriting.  The department also offers two Masters programmes in Writing and Screenwriting, with the latter accredited by Skillset.
